This project would not have been possible without the support and advice of various individuals and institutions.
For now, I have only a few to acknowledge, but as this project moves forward and I engage with others, more and more will be added.

Firstly I'd like to thank my A-Level archaeology lecturer, Mike Dymond, who helped me with the birth of this project and my interest in it and encouraged me to one day take it further.

I'd also like to acknowledge the PAS, run by the British Museum,  as well as all members of the public who have participated in reporting their finds, especially the ones that aren't classified as treasure and thus have no legal obligation to be declared. Without the PAS and its data, this project would've been made that much more tedious and difficult, as well as potentially less enlightening.

On a similar note, I'd like to thank Anna Tyacke, the Finds Liason Officer of the PAS for Cornwall. She, along with the Royal Cornwall Museum as a whole, helped me understand the topic greater and shed light on some biases that the data presents as I was able to go to the RCM and discuss with her my project and coins and hoards found in Cornwall, as well as go through and examine their collection of Roman coins held in storage.

Finally, my sincerest gratitude goes to my friends and fellow archaeology students who provided feedback and ideas during various stages of this study: Clare Holloway, Chloe Hill, and Oliver Mattingley.
