I have just finished mapping all of the Cornish coins and hoards and will now begin work on my Cornish report.
As such, there will be few, if any, updates in the near future as all of my time will be dedicated to researching and writing my report. That said, I can broadly outline what will feature in the report and what you can expect to see within it:
A seperate section for discussion of the Isles of Scilly.
Broad outline of coin dispertion in Cornwall and what it indicates, as well as why this specific dispertion is likely present.
Focusing on broad regions of Cornwall and the broad information that can be attained from its coins.
Focusing on specific locations that report large quantities of coins and what this data might mean for those locales.
Examining current theories for various parts of Roman Cornwall and whether this data supports arguments for or against any of them.
Examining Roman activity in Cornwall over different periods of time.
Examining where Romano-Cornish coins are being minted.
What these coins tell us about trade, the economy and stability in Roman Cornwall.
There may be more things included, but broadly speaking these topics are what I plan to research and write about as of now. Although the report won't be available for a while yet, the map is of course still available to look at and if you want to examine the full data using my spreadsheet, pelase feel free to make a request through the contact page, though I would like for you to tell me why you'd be wanting the spreadsheet, just so I know and can keep track of things!
